Two Full Moons
Two full moons. Okay, what is the big deal and why does this matter? And what is the impact to God’s feasts?
God has seven holy feasts that represent His plan of redemption and salvation to bring His people back to Him. The two of the feast days are synonymous with two full moons which have a direct impact and rich inference for His plan of salvation. God has picked very specific days during the year which have deep and rich meaning. So, let’s begin and see what He has designed for you!
The first full moon is tied to the day of Unleavened Bread falls on the 15th of the month of Nisan. What is special about this day? This day symbolizes the first day that our Messiah was buried. On this day over 2000 years ago, the world saw Jesus buried in the grave. He disappeared and went the way of all men. To the godless and hopeless, this was just another day. However, to the early Christians it was confusing. Their leader was dead and gone.
Jesus said that He would give no sign to unbelievers except that He would be buried three days. The 1st day of Unleavened Bread represents the first day of His burial. Jesus came back a visited his followers after His resurrection. They were amazed and soon recalled what Jesus had said. Jesus told them that if the seed does not fall to the ground it cannot bear fruit. Jesus knew that His burial symbolized the beginning of something marvelous and wonderful.
Today, we live in the church age and patiently await His glorious return.
The second full moon represents this very unique and special time: the return of the Messiah. It is on the 15th of Tishri or the beginning of the Feast of Tabernacles when Jesus will begin to once again dwell with us.
